Tiger Beatdown is truly great - thank you for introducing me to it. Well, technically, I first read one post from it following a link from a comment thread elsewhere... but that was the John Scalzi post you linked to recently, so you still get the credit; and I wouldn't have gone back to read the more recent stuff without your recommendation. TB (along with a few of the other links) challenged a lot of my preconceptions about modern feminist theory and forced me to re-evaluate a not insubstantial part of my worldview, which is a reasonably rare and invaluable occurrence IMO.
TED talks are way awesome. I heartily commend to you amongst many favourites: Hans Rosling, Elizabeth Gilbert, Alex Tabarrok, Rory Sutherland, Esther Duflo... well lets face it essentially every TED talk is self recommending.
