You are indeed correct in assuming that there is a Homestuck character called "The Dolorosa". It is also, indeed, entitled as fuck for them to try and ask you that, since they probably would have gotten sick of RPing her inside of a couple of months (if the everchanging array of tumblr RP journals I see flitting across my dashboard is anything to go by), and if you're not imaginative enough to make up a slightly modified yet recognizable username for the characters you RP, I judge you (my Giles username is not RupertGiles or anything like that, it's consultmybooks, and as you accidentally just saw, my Minako journal is romancingfool).

I certainly feel you on the username front. Recently, I've been trying out some different usernames across different sites, if only because I'm in a security class and they stress that's a good security move. But, deep down, I'm always gonna be Hickumu. I think it's healthy to have an online identity you can, well, identify with. It helps everything you do online to mean something, and means that you actually leave a mark on things people might remember.
