I think for me the most amazing thing about my supervisor, and the reason why I admire her so much is that she hasn't appeared to have had to compromise in one area of her life in order to achieve things in another. She's a good mother while still being a highly regarded academic researcher, she's successful in her career without participating in office politics or backstabbing, she's a good communicator while also being a good listener. I wouldn't have got this far without her.
