I've never been to Canberra but I would love to see it; and I found your ideas about Australia's rightness of place fascinating - to me it has such a distinct visual signature, though of course I don't have that same sense of rightness having grown up in the Philippines. (And, if you do not mind the question -please do not feel obliged to answer!- are you in Australia right now? Relevant because we have a house in Victoria that can take visitors and also I can visit Melbourne for meetups and um um I love meeting cool people on the internet face to face!
