Oh wow, I will have to track down your Uprooted and Sorcerer to the Crown fic! I love both those fandoms, although I can see what you mean about both having a very distinctive style. In fic, I'm not necessarily looking for similarity to the source material's style, but rather characterisation that fits with what we've seen in canon (I certainly can't write like Catherine Jinks, and wouldn't even attempt to do so when writing Pagan Chronicles fic).
