Regret sets in
Day 19 – Something you regret
I've finally caught up! Woo!
It may be surprising to many of you, but I genuinely regret nothing. I worry and stress about anything and everything, but I do not regret a single thing in my life. I've done some terrible things in my time, and I've had terrible things done to me, but I work hard to feel no regrets.
This is not out of some mistaken 'life's too short to live with regrets' blase attitude. Nor is it due to the idea that it is silly to worry about things that I cannot change. As I said, I worry a lot.
Rather, it is because I am, and always have been utterly and completely at peace with myself. I believe everything that I've done, and everything that I've experienced is important and necessary in shaping me into the person I have become, and the person I will be. I like the person I am, and thus I regret nothing that has made me this way.
