Which TV shows did you start watching in 2011?
Pretty Little Liars, Garrow's Law, The Secret Circle, A Game of Thrones,
American Horror Story. Aside from Garrow's Law (to which my boyfriend introduced me) and A Game of Thrones (which I already knew about), [livejournal.com profile] thelxiepia was responsible for me watching all of them. Because she is a TV GODDESS.

Which TV shows did you let go of in 2011?

Glee. With a vengeance. Ugh, that show. The Stone Circle didn't really capture my imagination either.

Being Human. Not because of 'OMG no more Mitchell WOE IS ME', beut because I felt that when they left Bristol, everything went wrong. The magic was gone. The dynamic was off. I feel like they twisted certain characters beyond recognition, and the reason why I fell in love with the show wasn't there any more.

Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2011? Why?

I meant to watch Grimm and Once Upon a Time, but I haven't had a minute to do so, and the shows I'm watching now are so consistently good that I don't really feel the need to add to them. When I want to watch something else, I'll tend to go back and watch stuff I've already seen (ATLA is a favourite).

Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2012?

The Legend of Korra!

Which TV show impressed you least in 2011?

The Stone Circle. Much of the same material as The Vampire Diaries (old USian town, innocent young heroine with heavy family history, supernatural secrets, relationship dramas) but with less likeable actors.

Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2012 unless things significantly improve?

None, really.

Which TV show impressed you the most in 2011? Why?

For totally different reasons, Garrow's Law and Pretty Little Liars. Garrow's Law because it warms the depths of my little left-wing heart, and Pretty Little Liars because I love shows with a mystery at their heart, a mystery in which all characters seem culpable.

Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why?

I honestly can't see myself letting go of any of my current shows because the writers would have to do some pretty serious butchering for me to change my opinions of them. (Some of those shows have deep flaws: Supernatural in particular. Its treatment of female characters and non-white characters is abysmal. But I find the story of the characters it does treat with respect so compelling that I don't overlook the failings per se, but I sort of put up with the flaws in order to keep watching. So I'm not saying it's flawless, but rather that the compelling storyline of the straight white guys would have to be made significantly worse for me to stop watching.)
