I love, love, love his Sally Lockhart series (I've even requested it for <name=waybackexchange>) -- in some ways I think I love it even more than HDM. <em>The Tiger in the Well</em> is probably my favourite of the series, because I love, love, love Dan Goldberg as a character and adore every minute he and Sally are on the page together. His speech where he confronts an angry mob was probably the most formative political moment for me as a teenager when I read it for the first time. It's a really fantastic series, and one I reread all the time.
