In terms of the decluttering, I'm just infuriated with myself that I didn't do this years ago. We've been living in this house for eight years (the longest I have ever lived in a single place), and I think we just assumed getting rid of this stuff would be a lot harder than it was. We don't have a car (I don't know how to drive, and my husband learnt to drive in Germany and has never driven on the left-hand side of the rode) and my assumption always was that it's hard to get rid of bulky items if you can't drive them — but it hasn't been necessary.
