I assume any person you were taking around Nashville would have more compatible interests, so no risk of you having to do a country music tour or get trashed in bars, at least.
True! I can't imagine I would be friends with one of the people who desperately want to go on one of those paddle bars.
And once you live somewhere long enough, all those things sort of fade into the background — I stopped noticing all the pretty old buildings in Cambridge after a while, and they just became part of the scenery.
I think that's definitely going to happen to me here in Charleston, though it hasn't quite yet!
