The showrunner keeps saying We Have A Five Year Plan which sets off bad memories of the BSG reboot. And I found this on Wiki

"The series was originally going to take place in the 1970s and the 1990s, but both time periods were moved two decades forward to make the setting more familiar to viewers"

which makes me weep for what could have been, really. Altho I still like the time jumps they wound up with!
