I actually didn't know that allusion with 'Neptune's Day', and had assumed it had something to do with the type of missile used in sinking the ship (which was apparently a locally-produced weapon called 'Neptune') — but with that extra bit of context, I suspect the title was inspired by both the missile and the summer camps. My understanding of that story in particular is that the author wrote it at exactly that early stage of the war (i.e. April 2022), and it went viral as it captured a particular popular sentiment; it then got translated and included in this recent anthology. I can totally understand not wanting to read any fiction about the war, though.

There's already at least one person in the comments here saying they might try Terra Ignota on the basis of your post, so I'd say it's already proved useful!
