I didn't quite grow up with it, as I was an older teenager when it first aired, but it's something I associate strongly with my family — my mum, sister and I used to watch each episode on Sunday night together. Michael Kitchen is so perfect in the role — I've never seen him in anything else, so he almost is Foyle for me.
Living somewhere like Larrimah is my idea of hell, but obviously it must appeal to some people — so it was interesting to me that none of the residents seemed like particularly happy people.
