I too love my solitary early mornings. In the summer, it's cool enough to sit in our outdoor hot tub; in the winter, sunrise (or rather, the early morning alpenglow on the mountains to the northwest) is spectacular.

I also always make my cookies from scratch and never buy them. This gives me pleasure to bake, and to eat.
