I haven't read any of Reid's novels--I tried, but the writing style doesn't agree with me--but I've been seeing all of the conversations around Lady Macbeth. It does seem like it was a full on mess and didn't at all portray the figure of Lady Macbeth like she was in the original work. I really don't understand why she'd take such an incredible character and turn her into a teenage French(?) girl who is never to blame for anything.
