I felt the same way, and I'm not even American (although, ironically, I was until last February, due to the technicality of being born — to my Australian parents — in New York). Cynically, I assume that a book like this, made in New York, would be more likely to sell well internationally than if it were made in any other US city.

Maybe his London version would be less irritating to you?
