I agree with you about these (although who is Turner?), and would add to that list Kate Elliott, Sarah Rees Brennan and Holly Black (with huge caveats that they really write my id, and they're definitely not for anyone), and the YA authors I enjoyed growing up, should any of them ever consider writing for that age group now. But yeah, in general I'm much less willing to give new-to-me YA authors the benefit of the doubt any more.
