Friday open thread: current obsessions
My brain has basically been a constant refrain of Dunedunedunedunedunedune since last Saturday, and that doesn't seem likely to be changing any time soon, so, in honour of my current subject of obsessive focus, we have today's prompt:
What's currently captured all of your attention?
I'm prompting for pleasant attention-capturing things here, although I recognise that for a lot of people reading this, all their current focus may be occupied with much heavier concerns.
If this goes on much longer, I may need to come up with a suitable tag for Dune...

(I was a fan before that, but he's had a strangle hold on me since November.)

(Using an icon of a cup of coffee since I think it's the only vaguely pottery-related icon I have...)

Ice hockey! Varsity weekend last week, SDHL finals started today, my own skating and playing very slowly improving.

But on the happier side of things: I'm just going: SPRING! SPRING! SPRING! all the time!

Most of my attention ATM is actually on "heavier things" - getting Jersey Zoo back on track.

I hope the book drafting is going well, at least.

Sorry about the stressful, complicated real-life logistics, though. That doesn't sound like much fun.

The murder mystery series Death and Other Details
The latest series of Resident Alien
The comedy TV series The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin
The film Next Goal Wins (written and directed by Taika)
The film Uproar - about a mixed Maori kid at an otherwise all white private boys school discovering who he is and what he wants, while some New Zealanders protest against apartheid and the Springboks tour - and other New Zealanders try to brutally suppress those protests.
Plus, of course, I am still completely obsessed with Blake's 7, and especially Avon/Blake

What I didn't realise, until someone else on Dreamwidth told me,
is that the lead actor in Uproar (2023), Julian Dennison, was the same actor who was so great in Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016)
I'm usually very very good at recognising actors (unusually so, which is weird because I'm unusually bad at putting names to faces in real life), but puberty changed his voice; face shape; and body composition significantly
