Yeah, I agree with you completely (and you weren't the person I meant when saying that people thought Dean's actions were out of character). That's actually something I'd never thought of. Because the show is such a road movie (or rather road TV series), the characters have no safe place to which they can return: no Sunnydale High library, no Serenity, no house in Bristol (as in Being Human) and no camp in Sherwood Forest (as in Robin Hood).

They do have the Impala, though...
