Anyone else noticed the similarities in theme between Regurgitator's early 2000s song 'Freshmint!'

and the MGMT song 'Time To Pretend'(which for some reason won't let me copy-paste the embedding code?

I suppose disillusionment with fame is a common theme for bands to write about, but it's interesting that although both Regurgitator and MGMT are covering similar ground, they take different approaches - Regurgitator's is much more bitter, the thoughts of a band that has been around for a few years and seen how vicious fame is, while MGMT is much more accepting that this is The Way The World Works.
