An extremely lazy day
Feb. 9th, 2020 06:31 pmThe storm was at once not as bad as I'd feared, and bad enough that I was very glad we'd organised things so that there was no need to leave the house for all of Sunday. I found myself devoid of energy, and relieved to have an excuse to do very little. Normally I try to do a lot of cleaning, yoga, walking around outside, and life admin on the weekend, but my productivity pretty much went out the window, which I guess is okay from time to time.
The wind and rain lashed against the windows, Matthias binged watched an entire TV show on Netflix, and I drank tea, messed about with fountain pens, combed through recipes on Smitten Kitchen, and read the entire third Benjamin January book, Graveyard Dust, in one sitting, huddled up in my wing chair under a throw rug.
Sometimes I just need those kinds of lazy days, I suppose.
