Today I got a call from my editor (the literary editor) at the Canberra times. Apparently, the paper's editor is considering offering me a full-time job there. At once I was thrown into turmoil. What should I do?

I've pretty much decided to take the full-time job. But I thought I should weigh up the pros and cons first. So, here they are.

Reasons for taking full-time subediting job
1. It would simplify my life a lot more.
2. It would mean I'd learn lots of new and useful skills.
3. It would mean I'd never have to worry about money again.
4. It would (and this is a stupid reason) be a good career move.

Reasons against taking the job
1. I loathe subediting and the two days a week I'm already doing it are the low point of my week.
2. I would have to give up my tutoring job, which is soothing, a nice change of pace and which I actually enjoy doing.
3. It would mean I have no free time during the week to shop, write reviews and generally relax. Currently I have all of Wednesday, and Thursday and Friday mornings free to do what I want.
4. Did I mention I loathe subediting?

What am I going to do????
