Preferred platform(s): I’m most active on tumblr in terms of reblogging and messaging folks, but most of my fannish reviews and such are on DW/LJ.
I like to post about/read about: I post reviews of books, movies, and anime/manga, a little bit about life in Japan, and sometimes stuff about my personal life and job. I dabble in a lot of different hobbies, but I’m hesitant to write about them because I’m not sure how interested other people will be. I’ve been reading and collecting tarot cards for nearly twenty years now so maybe I’ll finally start blogging about it!
Fandoms (including bigger, non-Yuletide fandoms):
This is by no means an exhaustive list because I’m so multifandom
Anime/Manga Shoujo Kakumei Utena | Revolutionary Girl Utena, Sailor Moon (all iterations), Works of Clamp, Penguindrum, Samurai Flamenco, Oniisama E
Literature Works of L. M. Montgomery, Works of Jane Austen, Oz series by L. Frank Baum, Fairytales & Folktales,
Scifi/Fantasy A Song of Ice and Fire, Star Wars (focus on Original Trilogy, Sequel Trilogy, & Expanded Universe), Narnia, His Dark Materials
In general I love late 19th/early 20th century literature, books with queer themes especially written by queer authors, sci-fi/fantasy (especially with POC protags and/or queer protags), and things of that nature. I’m very multifandom and flexible, I never know what will strike my fancy next! I love to read for DC/Marvel/Indie comics fandom but I rarely write for them.
This Yuletide I wrote: Two stories in the David Blaize fandom! The David Blaize books are queerish early 20th century boarding school adventures by a queer author. I did a little write up HERE.
Any recs from this year's Yuletide and/or Madness collection? Oh dear, I’m really behind on reading the archive this year. But my two gift fics in the Tokyo Babylon fandom were absolutely lovely and I recommend them highly if you liked the canon (can be found HERE).
Anything else you want to say: I am always looking for new fandom friends, feel free to friend me at will or message me anytime. I love reading other people’s reviews, opinions, and stories of daily life. I am always happy to give recommendations or advice when asked (especially if you have questions about vacationing or getting a job in Japan).
