Beyond Selidor

The men are kind of awful in Spinning Silver. I like stories about human/non-human relationships, and I'll tend to put up with a lot to get those kinds of stories, but I know that a lot of my friends found it a frustrating book for the same reasons as you. I also think a lot of readers expected it to end up with Wanda and Miryem in a relationship (which I think would have been great and certainly the story seemed to be setting that up), and were disappointed when it didn't.

Glad you were able to take advantage of the miserable weather with reading and sewing.
