Beyond Selidor

I love Aliette's writing, and have read a lot of Xuya stories in the past. One of my goals has been to read at least five works of short fiction every four weeks, and I'd been at a bit of a loss as to what to read. Your post reminded me there was a whole bunch of Xuya stories that I hadn't read yet, so that was me sorted!

I love in particular how well she writes about extended family, motherhood, and the way food and cooking build and sustain communities and keep identity and memory alive.
