It really was absolutely beautiful! And yes, it was a particularly surreal Grantchester experience, although not the weirdest encounter I've ever had there. (That honour goes to the nudist who was standing by the path, wrapped in a towel, which he repetitively opened and closed, flashing all the passers-by.)
