Beyond Selidor

The thing that makes me so angry about the situation in Australia is that it was an entirely selfish choice made by two people. If it had been someone breaking quarantine to work because they worked for a bad employer that had no paid sick leave or something like that, I would have been upset, but at least I could understand the behaviour. But, what, these people couldn't handle not going to a cafe or a hardware store for two weeks? I'm not sure what, if any consequences they'll face.

I think people here have become oblivious to the numbers of cases and deaths — the latter are in the hundreds every day, and it's like we've stopped noticing.
