It's now emerged that at least one police officer responsible for guarding the dead body of the murdered woman sent some kind of offensive messages in a group WhatsApp chat with other police officers — offensive messages about the dead woman. The government's response to a woman's murder is to put more police on the streets, including plainclothes police in nightclubs and bars.

As a woman, this makes me feel less safe, not more.
