As I say, I can sometimes take it in small doses, but the book has to be absolutely incredible. (I've just finished The Mirror and the Light, the final book in Hillary Mantel's trilogy about Thomas Cromwell, and I kept forgetting that it was written in present tense, because it has such a past tense tone.)

I'll be interested to see your version of this meme!
