Date: 2022-10-31 09:24 pm (UTC)Yes on the LOTR show! which I was calling The Galadriel Show, lol. I've been on the other end of the "how dare you do this to my canon" feeling so often, it was nice to just enjoy an adaptation as the billion-dollar fanfic it was. The lead actress was great, so were a lot of other actors, and it was a gorgeous lavish spectacle. I think the audience in general got hung up on the "oooh who could he be" attempted twist (given TV conventions, it was pretty obvious who he was) and it'll be interesting to watch it again knowing the reveal. A friend of mine only watched it after she was spoiled, and she really enjoyed it that way.
