It's time for another
snowflake_challenge prompt.

Search in your current space, whether brick-and-mortar or digital. Post a picture (a link to a picture will be fine!) or description of something that is or represents:
1. Something your favorite character would like
Going with Pagan Kidrouk here, he would most definitely like any modern form of transport that doesn't involve having to ride a horse in order to travel vast distances.
I also think giving him internet access and a well-functioning search engine would be a bit of a double-edged sword, because he is the very definition of 'someone is wrong on the internet (and I cannot let this go.' He would love the internet, and he would not be able to leave a single online argument without popping up in the comments and saying 'and another thing...'
2. Something that makes you laugh
If we're talking fandom things, this fic. It takes a very serious novel, treats the novel's central premise seriously, and shows the absurdity that could result if that central premise were taken seriously. I love it!
Spencer Tunick and the Giant Ul Qoman Protuberance (2739 words) by Fontainebleau
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: The City & the City - China Mieville
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Worldbuilding (The City & the City)
Summary:
3. A fandom place you would like to visit
I don't think I'd much enjoy visiting fandom settings, as most of the stuff I enjoy tends to be historical fiction, or SFF, all of which places its characters in a lot of discomfort or danger. I did go through a phase when I first moved to the UK of trundling around London and visiting places that featured prominently in books I'd enjoyed (various bits of Bloomsbury for Philip Pullman's Sally Lockhart books, St Dunstan-in-the-East for Sara Douglass's Troy Game series, Seven Dials for Samantha Shannon's Bone Season series, etc), but the present-day, real-world versions of these locations are good enough for me, and much safer!
I did make a point of rereading Guy Gavriel Kay's The Lions of Al-Rassan when I was in Andalusia, deliberately leaving the final chapters to complete (sobbing, from my hotel room) in view of the Alhambra, I suppose, which is typical behaviour for me.
4. A fandom creator (pro or not) you'd like to meet
I mean, I always enjoy meeting up in person with people I know through Dreamwidth and other fannish spaces!
5. Something you find comforting
Swimming. Cooking. Writing things out by hand.
6. Something from a favorite TV series or movie from your childhood
I've never really been one to collect physical fannish merch, so the closest thing I can think of here is that I named one of my dolls 'E.C.' after the doll in the Lift-Off Australian kids' TV series. Mine was just a normal rag doll though, not a terrifying faceless thing!
7. A piece of clothing you love
Not clothing so much as adornments, but I love the textile art earrings and hair accessories made by
betsiewithey, and have loads of them.
8. A book or song with a color in the title
I looked directly across the room, and saw The Priory of the Orange Tree on the bookshelf.
9. Something only someone in your fandom would understand
'My fandom' is mostly just me, so really, anything that only I know would suffice as an answer here!

The citizens of Beszel and Ul Qoma are skilled in unseeing what goes on in their neighbour city. But some things are more difficult to unsee than others...
