Ooops! That was a brain glitch, rather than autocorrect, so thanks for spotting it — although I love to see that Anderson is also writing books as well.

It's not quite cold enough for laundry to stand up straight — I don't think I'd put stuff outside if it did — but it's not at all warm.

A lot of the place names around here are somewhat incongruous, although often they reflect what things were like before the fens were drained, when the whole landscape here was waterlogged and dotted with little islands.
