Presh/Allyman playlist

sophiamcdougall and I discussed making playlists for stories/characters. And then of course I began whining that all my fandoms are small, and WOE IS ME, THE STORIES THAT GRIP ME ALWAYS HAVE A FANDOM OF LIKE TWO OTHER PEOPLE.
And then I had to make a Presh/Allyman* playlist. Because that's how I roll.
'Animal' - Miike Snow. ('I change shapes just to hide in this place/ but I'm still just an animal')
'To the Moon and Back' - Savage Garden ('Everyone's got a theory about the bitter one')
'Please Ask for Help' - Telekinesis ('I'm not going to knock you down but I'm not going to help you up')
'Painted by Numbers' - The Sounds ('We'll be the same tomorrow/ 'Cause we've all been painted by numbers/ We're dancing as we borrow')
'Of Moons, Birds and Monsters' - MGMT ('Half the distance/ Half the motion/ Communication/ It's easy as the ocean')
'Silvia' - Miike Snow ('When the lights go out will there be a trace?')
'Belong' - The Pains of Being Pure at Heart ('I know it is wrong, but we just don’t belong/ in their eyes, in the sun')
'Waiting for the Sun' - Powderfinger ('There's a place for us/ Sitting here waiting for the sun')
'Stay' - Hurts ('And before you/ I had nowhere to run to/ Nothing to hold on to')
'Hold Your Colour' - Pendulum ('Hold your colour against the wall/ When they take everything away')
'The Gift' - Annie Lennox ('We have fallen from our shelves/ To face the truth about ourselves')
'We Own the Sky' - M83 ('Because we own the sky')
Wow all my ships are dark. Dark dark dark. (Also, I had to seriously refrain from using the same Tiësto and Florence+The Machine songs I use for all playlists because 'Rushes into my heart and my skull' and 'No more dreaming like a girl so in love with the wrong world' are very very Ronni lyrics and I always tend to associate them with EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE.)
*Presh and Allyman are my favourite characters from Gillian Rubinstein's Galax-Arena books. I love those crazy, damaged, brilliant kids so much. So much it HURTS, you know.

When I was twelve, and read Galax Arena for the first time, their relationship scared me - I hadn't encountered anything like it before. By Terra Farma I just found it fascinating and really fucking sad.
I don't know ANY of those songs!

All my ships are listed in my interests. Most of them seem to be fandoms of one, considering that no other person on LJ lists them as interests. *sigh*

Oh, absolutely. Even though it was obviously coming soon, her death was still a shock, and I regret the years she didn't get. I blogged about it on Tumblr (http://dolorosa.tumblr.com/post/10729444320/farewell-sara-douglass).
