I don't really have a huge amount to report today. I'm just bouncing around at home, trying to memorise a paper that I have to give for my German class tomorrow afternoon. We have to talk about an interesting aspect of our respective areas of study. My focus is that medieval literature is very different to modern literature, in that we rarely know who wrote the texts, or when or where they were written. So Es ist ein bisschen wie ein Krimi, mittelalterliche Literatur zu studieren ('Studying medieval literature is a bit like a detective novel'). I'm usually quite good at memorising things by rote, and I'm pretty close to being there, so yay!

I've got a couple of longer posts lined up, and when I get my blogging groove back, I'll write them. Expect at least a couple of things on my German blog, a post about The Legend of Korra, and an intro-post type thing (because [community profile] fandomsecrets has just had a friending meme and I've got a few new people reading my journal).

This weekend has been filled with amazing music. [personal profile] thelxiepia pointed me in the direction of the White Sea remix of 'Young Blood' by the Naked and Famous, which I played about thirty times in a row. Alex made a fantastic, three-part srafmix, and I've been listening my way through that. So many brilliant artists! St Vincent! Kitten! The Grates! Grimes! Purity Ring! Chairlift! Etc! And my sister Mim linked this Grimes song. My boyfriend was the first to suggest Grimes as a musician that I would like. It seems to be the Weekend of (Awesome) People Recommending Grimes to Ronni or something.

In other news, I am very proud of my sock-shoe combination today! How have your weekends been?
