Worldwide celebrations!
Jun. 2nd, 2006 11:10 amYay, life is looking up! After about 2 months of peevishly refusing to connect wirelessly, and chucking a complete psycho and refusing to connect to the net at all last night, my frustratingly anthropomorphic computer decided to be nice for a while, and I am now connected, 'sans' wires.
Apart from that I've almost finished my essay/conference on Paradise Lost, which is a huge relief, since although I love the poem, it will be nice to bolt back to the medieval literature where I belong! No more Renaissance for me!
My dad is again coming up to Sydney (honestly, he travels so much, he's got three homes rather than one now!), so I guess I'll be doing the family thing this weekend. Usually that involves my dad and I getting tearfully drunk, so this should be interesting.
And after that, who knows? I really need to get some reviews done, The Canberra Times sent me 16 books to review, and I've only done about 6 of them. There's only so many 'bullied but kind teenager finds her inner courage and self-confidence' stories I can read! (I'm the Young Adult book reviewer...)
I'm hungry now, so I'll leave it there...
