Day 20 – Your morning routine
Wow, I can't believe I'm up to the 20th day already! Today's topic seems a lot easier than the last couple, that's for sure.
My morning routine is pretty straightforward. At around 7.30, I get up and go for an hour-long run. (When it's the heat of midsummer, I get up at 6.50 instead.) Then I come home, have a shower and dry my hair (which takes ages as although my hair isn't very thick, there's a lot of it) and brush my teeth. I usually don't eat breakfast these days so after a quickish whip around the internet, I head off to the department and work on my thesis until about midday.
On Saturdays, this routine is slightly different. During term-time, I work the morning shift in the English faculty library from 10am, so I'm there. During the holidays, I tend to sleep in a bit longer.
On Sundays, after the running and getting ready, I do chores: laundry and shopping for food at the markets. After the chores are done, I Skype with Mum for about an hour.
In the winter, it's too dark to run in the morning, so I get up slightly later, come home from the department at midday and run then.
And that is my morning routine. I could also have said that my morning routine includes being online on #btts talking about anything and everything (since I tend to be there until 1 or 2am), but I thought that was stretching the definition of 'morning'.
