Subs' humour
Feb. 14th, 2008 11:19 amMum just sent me a list of some bad ABC grammatical, spelling, pronunciation etc mistakes. My favourite:
'...the struggle to keep the Harbour Tunnel afloat.'
*laughs and laughs*
In other news, I uploaded two Steeleye Span CDs on to my computer and am reminded of all the family holidays down the coast, where we used to play Steeleye Span tapes in the car and I would nag Mum to explain what all the songs were about. Strange to think that after 12 years of fantasy and folklore obsession and six years or so studying mediæval languages and history, I probably know better than her what those songs are about, these days.
*resists the urge to go off on a Thomas the Rhymer tangent*

Date: 2008-02-22 02:33 pm (UTC)I'm not up to much at the moment. Well, I'm working a bit, moving house and planning a wedding, so that's enough for me right now. The wedding is in April, which is ominously soon. What are you up to at the moment? Where are you staying in Sydney? I heard you were back, but haven't actually managed to catch up with you yet...
