Just a quick note
Jun. 3rd, 2020 12:31 pmIn light of the recent security issues with Livejournal passwords, I have done a prune of my access list. I have revoked access to my Dreamwidth for any accounts which have not posted for more than 99 weeks, and I am going to make a habit of doing so every month from now on. I'm operating on the assumption that an account with no posts for more than 99 weeks is inactive. If this is a mistaken assumption for your account (i.e. if you aren't posting regularly any more, but still log into Dreamwidth frequently and read but don't post or comment), please let me know here via the comments or DM.
If you want to do the same, it is very straightforward. Go to your profile page, and scroll down until you get to the People section (which shows subscriptions and access lists). Click on the option to edit this. You will be taken to an alphabetical list of people (and a list of communities below that), which will show when each account last updated. The right-hand column of that list indicates whether you have given a particular account access. If there is an inactive account (however you want to define this, I've used 99 weeks as per recommendations by several others in my circle) which currently has access to your Dreamwidth, you can simply revoke access by deselecting the tickbox in the right-hand column. Scroll down your alphabetical list of people and communities and repeat the process until you're done.
My little project of sending recipe letters to people has gone really well, to the point that I have nearly used up all remaining stationery in the house. I have supplies left to send a maximum of two more letters, so if you are interested, please comment on the most recent letters post, where comments are screened. Everyone who has commented so far will receive a letter soon: I put them in the mail yesterday.
