One of my greatest delights is stumbling upon weird and wonderful real estate listings, and this one I saw via a friend on Facebook this morning is a classic. As someone said in the comments, buy this house if you want the experience of living on a space station while never leaving Earth.

Here is the listing, in all its glory.

Inevitably, someone else in the Facebook comments mentioned that they knew the owner of the house, because Australia is just that small.

HEART EYES. Wow. I wish it listed the actual asking price (or I'm just not seeing it) so it could seem safely entirely out of reach.

I don't think it's listing the asking price (I think I can kind of roughly estimate it based on how much they're claiming you'll have to pay each month for the mortgage) ... it may be they are going to sell it by auction, which happens quite a lot in Australia.

I know, right? I think it's had the same owner since it was built — that guy was clearly living his dream. He knew what he wanted in terms of architecture, and he committed to it!

I agree with you that I wouldn't want to live in it. I sent the link to my mother and sister, and my mother said that looking at the photos made her feel seasick!

I love weird houses! That one isn't to my taste, but I love it anyway. So many houses are so boring that it's always a joy to see a truly unique one!

Weird houses are the best! When I posted a link to this one on Facebook, one of my friends there sent me a link to this website, which basically curates weird real estate listings from around the world. I could happily spend many hours browsing that site!

I think my favorite part is when the video pans out and you can see it's actually in a fairly close-packed suburb, surrounded on all sides by perfectly normal houses. And then... bubbles.

I think the round rooms would make me seasick, but you're right that from the inside, the house looks quite nice.

When I linked to this house on Facebook, a friend of mine responded by sharing this website, which curates weird and wonderful real estate listings from around the world. My favourite so far is this house: the highlight being a flying saucer-shaped disco, complete with psychedelic walls and the original DJ area. I am delighted!

Absolutely — the library is just fantastic! One of my friends on Facebook pointed out taht it doesn't actually show the bedrooms or bathrooms at all in the listing, which is definitely strange.
