How do you use Instagram for fandom? Bookstagram?

Basically I use it to stay aware of upcoming publications from authors whose previous work I've enjoyed, and to find out about things like online book launches, panels and Instagram Live chats. So I don't really use it in any transformative fandom sense — it's more like a calendar to help me keep track of things.

I read your comment on how you use Instagram for fandom, and that's such an interesting way of using that platform, and one that makes total sense.

It's not the only thing for which I use Instagram, but I made a conscious effort to cut Twitter out of my life last year, and as I used to use Twitter to keep track of book news/events, Instagram filled that void. I find it works for me.
