I had to babysit my dentist's 3 year old twins on Friday night. They are now at a very bizarre stage. One of them spent the entire time I was reading pulling my hair. (I think long hair is a bit of a novelty to them, since they, and their mother, and their father, all have very short hair). Then he announced he would cut all my hair off. The following conversation ensued:

Me: But I like my hair long!
Louis (3 year old): I don't care! I'm going to cut it off and stick it on a sheep.
Me: But my hair is black! It would look really strange on a sheep!
Louis: All right, I'm going to cut off your hair, make it go white, and then stick it on a sheep!

You wonder how their minds work...

Louis' brother Rory announced that he was 'a knight in shining armour' and that I would have to address him from now on as 'Super'.

Lol.. isn't it funny how when people get drunk they revert to their three year old selves!

These little kids sound very articulate! My cousins (almost 5) have nowhere near those kinds of speaking skills!

I think it's because there are two of them (and they talk to each other), and also because their mother is a bookshop manager and reads a lot to them, so they have large (and random) vocabularies.

excellent, now hopefully, once I have children, I will be able to maintain this particular state of thought though their maturation phase and into adulthood....huzzah!

I'm sure it's possible...I know lots of adults who think like that!
