There you have it. 2009.

I just got back from a New Year's party with some of my friends. We played poker (betting on banana chips, spicy dried peas, chocolate-covered raisins and caramel popcorn) and drank mead. What more could you want?

Before I left, I turned my iTunes on. Closing my eyes, I hit Shuffle, with the idea that the first song to come up would sum up the spirit of 2009. This is what I got:



Seems a pretty apt assessment of the year ahead.
