I hope everyone had as good a Yuletide as I did! It's sometimes hard to find people who like the same small, Yuletide-eligible fandoms as you do, so I thought it would be great to do a friending meme after reveals, so that people could find and add the authors, recipients and commenters who made their 2017 Yuletides so enjoyable.

Heh, us olds need to stick together. Fandom feels like a bunch of youngsters shouting at each other on tumble sometimes; I'm always looking for the older folks to turn the volume down with ;) Are you reading New Constantine?

I am on a bit of a comics hiatus at the momenet (the stupid flowing from the top was giving me rage blackout) but I will probably catch up in trades when I get over myself.

I honestly liked the TV series, despite the straight washing. I thought that Matt Ryan really threw himself into the character.

I am very disappoint about the straightwashing, but otherwise, like you, I enjoyed Matt Ryan's portrayal -- I thought he was very good, and had elements of the old-school Hellblazer. I myself haven't looked at comics since, uh, the end of Fables, and Sandman Overture? But I recently happened across Constantine: The Hellblazer (which I didn't realise was distinct from his New 52 outing) and quite liked what I saw, including the cute civilian boyfriend, and was indeed wondering if I should catch up with it.
