I hope everyone had as good a Yuletide as I did! It's sometimes hard to find people who like the same small, Yuletide-eligible fandoms as you do, so I thought it would be great to do a friending meme after reveals, so that people could find and add the authors, recipients and commenters who made their 2017 Yuletides so enjoyable.

I was going to say that I wasn't sure we shared fandoms, but after nosing around your tags I see we do in fact intersect on Gaiman and Scalzi and BtVS and Susan Cooper, and books in general. Plus, you have an extremely cool job which seems to be in a town where I went to school, across the road from the Squire. I am much better at commenting than posting, though I'm hoping to do more of both for 2018. Can we be friends?

I was trying to work out why your username was familiar, and then I realised you were the person who wrote that incredible Lions of Al-Rassan fic for Yuletide!

I am definitely happy to add you - always keen to have more Dreamwidth friends who post/comment about books.

My job is frustrating sometimes, but mostly it is pretty great -- and Cambridge is a wonderful town in which to be a librarian. What a small world that you went to school here! I moved here nearly ten years ago from Australia to be a medievalist academic, and, after an MPhil and PhD and moving into librarianship, it looks as if I'll never leave...

The world is small, and I can only imagine what an amazing place Cambridge must be for librarians and medievalists! I am myself from Asia, so I get what it's like being from the lower half of the hemisphere ;)
