I just (we're talking 10 minutes ago) got home from seeing 'The Dark Knight' and you've pretty much taken the words out of my mouth.

'The Dark Knight' was ok. It was a story that was two hours too long, about a rich boy masquerading as a superhero, trying to 'protect' the world from a villain without purpose. I don't think that the film was as dark as I expected it to be, and Batman did nothing out of the ordinary. Two-face was the only character I found to be moderately interesting, and that's because he had purpose and character-development.

I'm really disappointed at how unimpressed I was. Though that said, Mr Whedon spoils me.

Yeah, I was expecting it to be much better. Heath Ledger was amazing, but the film was brutal (and not in a good way), morally repugnant and mediocre. You're the first person who feels the same way I do.

By the way, you might be able to help me with the quote from Angel (season 5) about grey areas. I'm sure Gunn says it, and it's something like 'The next person who says "grey area" will be shot/punched/etc'. I can't for the life of me remember it...

Knew I could count on at least one of my mad Whedonista friends to find me the quote. I was going to have to watch all of Season 5 to find it, otherwise, since Google was not being my friend tonight. Then again, that wouldn't have been too bad.

I only watched Season Five about a month ago, so I could vaguely picture it in one of a couple of episodes. I think your google issue would have been to do with the fact that American's spell 'grey' incorrectly.
