Closing some tabs

I've had the following two links open in tabs on my browser for ages now, so I thought I'd link to them in a post and clear them out of the increasingly overwhelming bank of tabs currently open. Both relate to cult classic films which were big parts of the cultural landscape of my teenage years.

Both are articles in the popular subgenre of 'oral histories of films that were big hits with Gen Y in their teenage years'.

The first is about Empire Records.

The second is about But I'm a Cheerleader!

Amusingly I just saw an article in the Guardian about how Empire Records was ripe for a comeback. Synergistic!

Ha! I just saw that article too. Given we've been swimming in more than a decade of '80s nostalgia at this point, I feel it's high time for the cult classics of my youth (the '90s) to have their turn at a revival.
