This is going to be a bit of a link, meme, thank you ma'am type of post. I just finished watching the season (and series?) finale of Robin Hood and will probably post about it at some point - perhaps in a post called 'How to lose viewers and alienate your fanbase, all in one 13-episode season'. Right now, however, it's meme time. This one's swiped from [livejournal.com profile] boojumlol.

Don’t take too long to think about it.
Fifteen books you’ve read that will always stick with you.
First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes.
Copy the instructions into your own post.

1. His Dark Materials trilogy, by Philip Pullman. (I'm treating it as one entry, but if I had to pick one, I'd say Northern Lights.)
2. Parkland by Victor Kelleher.
3. The Beast of Heaven by Victor Kelleher.
4. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
5. The Girls in the Velvet Frame by Adele Geras.
6. Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice.
7. Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges.
8. Darkwitch Rising by Sara Douglass.
9. American Gods by Neil Gaiman.
10. Buile Shuibne by an anonymous medieval Irish writer or writers.
11. Either Catilina's Riddle by Steven Saylor or Tomorrow, When the War Began by John Marsden.
12. Collected essays and journalism of George Orwell.
13. Of Nightingales That Weep by Katherine Paterson.
14. Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.
15. Romanitas by Sophia McDougall.

Here come the links.

First up, I wrote a post on Longvision about the imagined modern-day Roman Empire of Sophia McDougall's Romanitas series.

The ever-wonderful [livejournal.com profile] elle_vee has written a great post about fandom rules. She also posted a link (from WorldOfWonder) to Michael Bay's keyboard. I thought it was hilarious.

I don't exactly feel up to the task of writing about Michael Jackson, but luckily, the author of one of my favourite blogs has done it for me.

Finally, to lighten the mood, have this fabulous clip which mashes Buffy and Twilight (with logical conclusion).

Oh my God, this is a travesty! I forgot to include any of the Pagan books in my list! That's what happens when you do these things without thinking about it very much... I would probably say that Pagan's Crusade comes in at number 2 on that list, bumping everything down one place and knocking Romanitas out of the top 15 (sorry, Romanitas). I feel quite ashamed of myself now.

Ronni's LJ posts are a how-to guide to being awesome for me. First in the post, the list of 15 books, the ones of which I have read have changed my life and the ones which I haven't, I should.
Next, memes! And a good blog I should keep track of. Both are wonderful things.
And then there's sheer awesome. Ronni, you're such a fantastic formative influence on me :D

Aww. *hugs* You're pretty awesome yourself without needing any guidance from me. However, you should definitely read all those books. Because they are awesome. (I know you've read most of them already, though.) I shall try to be around a bit more in #btts after I've done my viva.
